Cooperation, energy, and a shared sense of unity.

The starting point for the project has been to create a new shared "WE" – where innovation is the driving force and where the work environment supports both collaboration and individual focus. Through close collaboration and an inclusive process involving workshops, reference groups, surveys, test fits, measurements, and discussions, employees have played an active role in formulating their needs.

Previously spread across several locations totaling over 10,000 square meters, Sobi is now gathered in one place covering 4,400 square meters. This space accommodates approximately 500 employees in flexible working environments with the potential for expansion. Reducing the floor space was a conscious choice – to create more energy, sustainability, strengthen the community, and bring people closer together.

Flexible working environment for a global company.

The office is designed to support an international way of working where working days span multiple time zones. Variety and freedom of choice permeate the entire environment – from ergonomic, focused rooms for individual work to semi-open workplaces and more lively areas for collaboration, meetings, lunch, coffee breaks and spontaneous happenings.

Meeting rooms of various sizes, rest areas, and break areas provide support for different situations and needs. Lighting plays a crucial role, enhancing the changing environments, creating dynamism, and contributing to both energy and recovery.

The office acts as a central hub—a place where services, meetings, and ideas come together. This is where the spark for the working day is ignited and the will, energy, and power of the organization are highlighted.

Nature, innovation, and identity.

The interior balances calm and energy. A natural base with abundant greenery creates tranquility, while color, shape, and unexpected elements contribute to anticipation and movement in the more active areas. Unique light installations and sparkling materials recur throughout the office, reinforcing the feeling of innovation.

Specially designed solutions such as reception, conference tables, pergolas, screen walls, and stage have been developed specifically to meet Sobi's needs and identity.

Sustainability as a given foundation.

Sustainability has been an integral part of the entire project. At least 80% of the interior design is reused—from desk bases and chairs to lighting and personal storage. Furniture has been reconditioned and supplemented via the reuse market to create variety and longevity.

New furnishings have been selected with high environmental standards and consist largely of Nordic furniture with clear environmental classifications. The work has been carried out in close collaboration with Sobi's sustainability managers and reference group, which has strengthened both the corporate culture and long-term sustainability efforts.

The building meets high standards with certifications such as BREEAM Excellent, WELL, and WiredScore Platinum—clear proof of its ambition.
